The dominant style is Afro-Cuban, with influences from music of Central Africa, West Africa, North Africa, reggae and jazz. It is mainly focused on percussion: balafon, congas, djembe, bongos, berimbo, darbouka, tama, n'goma, likembe and dun num. The rhythm of percussion is supported by several other instruments: violin, piano, drums, classical drums, lead guitar, bass guitar and clarinet.
